This Privacy Policy explains how Amogh AI CCTV ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Amogh Rent Manager mobile application and its online service (together, the "App"). The App helps property owners (landlords) manage properties, rooms, tenants, rent, payments, expenses, maintenance and agreements, and gives their tenants and staff their own login.
By using the App you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Contents
1Who uses the App
- Owner (landlord) - creates the account and adds properties, rooms, tenants and staff.
- Tenant - logs in with the mobile number the owner added, to see rent bills, pay the owner by UPI, get receipts and raise maintenance requests.
- Staff - people the owner adds (for example a manager or rent collector), who see only what the owner allows.
2Information we collect
| Type | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Login | Mobile number and the one-time password (OTP) sent to it. We store only a scrambled (hashed) form of the OTP for a few minutes. |
| Owner profile | Name, business name, address, email, UPI ID and profile photo - only what you choose to enter. |
| Property records | Properties, buildings, rooms, rent and deposit amounts, property photos and documents you upload. |
| Tenant records (entered by the owner) | Tenant name, mobile number, permanent address, ID type and number, photos of ID proof, tenant photo, rent agreement, security deposit, rent, move-in / move-out dates and notes. |
| Rent and money records | Rent bills, maintenance and other charges, electricity / water meter readings, payments received (amount, date, mode, transaction / UTR / cheque reference, receipt number), attached receipts, expenses and rental agreements. |
| Tenant activity | UPI transaction IDs a tenant sends after paying, and maintenance requests a tenant raises. |
| Staff | Staff name, mobile number, role and the permissions given by the owner. |
| Technical | Login session tokens (stored hashed), and basic server logs (IP address, time, request) kept for security and to fix problems. |
3Phone permissions
- Camera - only when you tap to take a photo of an ID proof, a property, a tenant or a receipt.
- Photos and files - only to pick a photo or PDF you choose to upload.
- Notifications - to show rent alerts and the month-end rent alert on your phone.
- Internet - to save your data on our server and keep it in sync.
You can turn any permission off in your phone settings; the related feature will then not work.
4How we use information
- To create and secure your account and log you in with OTP.
- To run the App's features: properties and rooms, tenants, monthly rent bills, receipts, meter bills, expenses, maintenance, agreements, documents, reports and backups.
- To send the messages described in section 5 (OTP, rent received, rent reminders and month-end alerts).
- To show a tenant their own bills, payments and the owner's name, mobile number and UPI ID so they can pay.
- To give staff the access the owner chose.
- To provide support, prevent misuse and fraud, and meet legal requirements.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. The App shows no ads.
5WhatsApp, SMS and alerts
- Login OTP - sent to your mobile number on WhatsApp (or SMS).
- Rent received - when an owner saves a rent payment, the tenant gets a WhatsApp message with the amount, month, date-time and receipt number. Owners can turn this off in the App.
- Month-end alert - on the owner's chosen day and time each month, tenants who still owe rent get a WhatsApp reminder and the owner gets a summary of rent collected and pending. Both also get it in the App's Notifications. Owners can turn this off or change the day and time.
- Manual reminders - an owner may open WhatsApp or SMS on their own phone with a ready reminder text; that message is sent from the owner's own phone.
These messages contain only what is needed: name, amount, room / property, month, dates and receipt number.
7Tenant data entered by owners
Information about tenants (for example their ID proof and address) is added by the owner. The owner decides what to add and is responsible for having the tenant's consent and a lawful reason to keep it. We store and process it only to provide the App to that owner and to show the tenant their own records.
A tenant who wants their information corrected or removed can ask their owner, or write to us (section 13) and we will help.
8How we protect it
- All data travels over encrypted HTTPS connections.
- Login is by OTP; session tokens and OTPs are stored only in hashed form.
- Every owner's data is kept separate; uploaded files open only for the logged-in owner (and staff the owner allowed).
- The Rent Manager runs on its own separate service and database.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will inform affected users as required by law if a breach happens.
9How long we keep it
- Your data is kept while your account is active.
- When an owner deletes the account, all of that owner's data - properties, rooms, tenants, bills, payments, files, agreements, staff and settings - is deleted from our live database at once.
- A message log (who a message was sent to and when) and server logs may stay for up to 90 days for security, then they are deleted.
- A tenant's login ends when the owner marks them as moved out.
10Your rights and account deletion
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- See and download your data - owners can download a full copy in the App (More → Backup & Sync).
- Correct it - edit any record in the App.
- Delete it - in the App (Settings → Delete my account) or on our Delete Account page.
- Withdraw consent - stop using the App and delete your account; turn off WhatsApp messages in the App.
- Raise a complaint with our grievance officer (section 13).
11Children
The App is meant for adults (18 years and above). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and important changes will be shown in the App.
